“What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” read live on air

Volunteers came to the studio and read Frederick Douglass's historic speech “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” on air on July 1 at 5 pm. After the reading the had a short discussion about the speech. The program will be rebroadcast throughout the month of July 2026 as well as is available for streaming below.
